Sparsames AJAX

ajaxian.com verweist auf ein Beispiel für sehr sinnvollen Einsatz von AJAX-Techniken: auf den Liveticker der Macworld in San Francisco vor 4 Tagen. Anstatt den Web-Usern das ständige Neu-Laden der Seite zu überlassen, wurden neue Zeilen von selbst alle 60 Sekunden ausgeliefert. Die Bandbreitenersparniss dieser Maßnahme soll enorm gewesen sein: 32 statt der üblichen 196 GB an Datentraffic sind dabei angefallen.
