OpenUsability

Auf openusability.org gibt's ca 70 Open Source-Projekte, die Usabilitologen suchen. Darunter sind einige wohl-bekannte Projekte wie Und einige, die zumindest interessant klingen, wie:
  • Feed - A simple, email-like RSS reader for Mac OS X
  • Gallery
  • CiviCRM - Create a GPL, LAMP-based, relationship management system for nonprofit and nongovernmental organizations
  • Firemonger - CD for distributing Firefox & Thunderbird
  • KMyMoney
  • My Handy Restaurant - a software for running a full-service retaurant
Die Site openusability.org gefällt mir ganz gut. Sie dürfte den Zweck, Entwickler und Tester zusammen zu bringen, ausreichend erfüllen. Selten anzutreffen ... so eine benutzerfreundlich gestaltete Usabilitologen-Site ;-) (via Webword)

    Boris: Seitdem ich mal irgendwo hörte, dass auch Systemhersteller wie Microsoft und Apple heftig »Usability Labs« einsetzen, um ihre Software »usabil« zu machen, habe ich jeglichen Glauben an den Nutzen von Usability (Usability von Nutzen?) verloren. Denn weder an Windows noch an MacOS ist irgendetwas usabil. Labore hin oder her...

    acorri: einige der gelisteten projekte haben das auch bitter nötig. also ne gute idee. hoffentlich hilfts.
